Vice Versa Le Petit Vice Cabernet Sauvignon 2013Napa Valley

When Paul Hobbs was the consulting winemaker for Vice Versa, we were a fan. Now that vintner Patrice Breton and consulting winemaker Philippe Melka are the team, we’re an even bigger fan. Patrice has produced a Cabernet this is dense and focused with dark fruit notes and a beautiful lingering finish. We tasted quite a few Cabernets in the last few weeks at this price point, and this is one of the best. This is an incredible youthful Cabernet with intense flavors of ripe black wild berries, black plum and black currants, sweet vanilla and baking spices, and melted milk chocolate.  This wine shows superb weight on the palate, terrific complexity and well-integrated French oak.  100% Cabernet Sauvignon from some of Paul Hobbs’ favorite vineyards including Beckstoffer Las Piedras, Stagecoach, and Max Vineyard, aged in 80% New French Oak for 22 months.
