TurleyEstate Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2022

You probably think of Zinfandel with the name Turley surfaces but they also produce an estate Cabernet Sauvignon too. It comes from vines planted in 1989 on volcanic and alluvial soils along the eastern edge of Turley Estate in northern Napa Valley in the St. Helena AVA. The vineyard is certified organic, and the fruit is harvested at optimal ripeness before fermenting with native yeast. The wine is aged for 18 months in 100% French oak, just under half of it new. The aromas show red fruit and baking spice, and a touch of fine tobacco. On the palate, it’s juicy and polished, with a silky texture, and supple tannins.
