Teeter TotterCabernet Sauvignon 2019- Special Priced 3-Pack
Because of Benoit Touquette's ability to source from multiple, high-quality vineyard sites throughout Napa Valley including Andy Beckstoffer's ToKalon Vineyard, Las Piedras Vineyard, and Dr. Crane Vineyard, Benoit has great access to high-quality fruit throughout Napa Valley from his role as winemaker at Realm Cellars and for his own brands, Fait Main and Teeter Totter. He has also become great at the art of final blending thanks to his regular time spent with his mentor, enologist Michel Rolland. Like in past vintages, this newly released 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon is full-bodied and juicy. Deep purple in the glass, it’s marked by powerful aromas of blackberry, cherry, cocoa powder, and clove. The palate is layered and rich, with velour tannins and flavors of blackberry and kirsch complemented by clove, allspice, toast, and mocha. Dashes of Petite Sirah, Charbono, and Zinfandel add plushness and complexity, and the finish lingers with enticing notes of espresso and spice.
Benoit Touquette grew up one of Burgundy's main cities, Lyon, before moving to Bordeaux to attend graduate school. He worked the mobile bottling lines to pay for schooling and it was while doing this that he got to see and feel the infectious passion of the winemakers he met. He quickly switched his focus to oenology and completed two degrees before moving to Napa Valley to intern with renowned winemaker Andy Erickson (formerly of Screaming Eagle, Staglin and now Dalla Valle, Favia and Marciano) before venturing on his own to become winemaker at Realm Cellars and launch Fait Main and Teeter Totter. Benoit's style of wines that he produces are opulent and bold, with a focus geared towards showing each vineyard's potential.
