This one-of-a-kind wine was crafted exclusively for Premiere Napa Valley by renowned winemaker Thomas Rivers Brown. Each year, Napa’s top winemakers are invited to create a singular expression—made for just one moment in time and never replicated. Only 5 cases of this wine were produced, and we were fortunate to secure them. Each bottle is hand-numbered and signed by Thomas Rivers Brown.

In 2023, for the first time in over a decade, Switchback Ridge returned to Premiere Napa Valley with a reimagined team: Thomas Rivers Brown leading winemaking and Matt Hardin overseeing vineyard management. Their inaugural release together is this 2021—a powerful, deeply concentrated Cabernet Sauvignon blended with Merlot and a touch of old-vine Petite Sirah from the Peterson family’s Calistoga vineyard. What sets this cuvée apart is its origin: a historic block planted in 1956, aged 20 months in 100% French oak, and bottled unfined and unfiltered. With just 60 bottles in existence, this is a rare opportunity for serious collectors and Cabernet lovers alike.
