Stone the Crows'Fallen Feather' Cabernet Sauvignon 2017- Special Priced 3-Pack

We recently visited vintner, Rick Talmadge, at his vineyard in Napa Valley’s Conn Valley, which rests just above Lake Hennessey. The photo above is of the view from his 5-acre estate hillside vineyard. Densely planted in 2005 on steep hillsides, the vines are pruned to yield no more than three tons per acre. Thomas Rivers Brown has been making their wines since their debut vintage in 2009. We tasted this newest release, which is comprised of 100% Cabernet Sauvignon. “Opaque ruby-purple. Intensely aromatic, with pronounced blackberry, just-picked blueberries, cassis, candied violets, brown sugar, and vanilla spices. Immediately dense, powerful, and packed with ripe and juicy dark-berried fruits, redolent of blackberry, black cherry, and blueberry coulis. For all its power and fruit concentration this is a vintage that is teeming with energy and freshness. After time in the glass aromas and flavors of bright red berry fruits begin to emerge, all supported by a framework grippy, cedar-like tannins and a long finish lavender floral finish.” -Thomas Rivers Brown. 125 cases were produced.
