You will be hard pressed to find a Cabernet made by Thomas Rivers Brown at this price point and quality. Like in previous vintages, this 2018 has the signature touch of Thomas’s winemaking talent. It’s smooth and generous with fruit, yet it offers structure. For this 2018 Napa Valley Cabernet, Thomas sourced from vineyards in St. Helena, Atlas Peak and Oak Knoll’s AVAs. Under the guidance of Jim Barbour’s vineyard management team and Thomas’s winemaking, the fruit is hand-picked, hand-sorted, and then whole berry fermented in micro-fermentation batches and results in a richly textured Napa Valley Cabernet Blend that is incredibly approachable upon release. In the glass, it offers aromatics of brambly berries and baking spice, complimented by powerful dark fruit flavors and elegant tannins.
