Quilceda CreekColumbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2022
Quilceda Creek’s winemaking roots run deep. Founder Alex Golitzin—nephew of legendary winemaker André Tchelistcheff—began with a single barrel of Cabernet Sauvignon in his garage before launching Quilceda Creek in 1978 with his wife, Jeannette, as Washington’s 12th bonded winery. Today, their son Paul carries the torch, earning widespread acclaim for the estate’s wines. The 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon comes from Quilceda’s blocks in Champoux and Mach One vineyards, both part of the Horse Heaven Hills AVA, and was aged 22 months in 100% new French oak. Dense and powerful, it shows remarkable concentration with layers of dark plum, chocolate, and tobacco leaf—an outstanding example of Washington Cabernet at its best.
