Grape Culture'Beckstoffer Georges III Vineyard’ Cabernet Sauvignon 2019- Special Priced 3-Pack
We love a great surprise when tasting wine. And this is one of those times when we were blown away by this new wine brand. It is part of the larger portfolio of owner and winemaker, Craig Ploof’s winery, Grape Culture. This 2019 comes from the famed Beckstoffer Georges III Vineyard in Rutherford. It was partially planted in 1895 by Mrs. Thomas Rutherford and later purchased and fully developed by Georges de Latour in 1928 for Beaulieu Vineyards whose legendary winemaker, Andre Tchelistcheff, crafted brilliant wines from this vineyard and established its glowing reputation. Purchased by Beckstoffer Vineyards in 1988, the vineyard has since been replanted using new Cabernet Sauvignon clones with tighter spacing and advanced trellising systems. This 2019 offering is gorgeous and captures the essence of this historic Rutherford vineyards. Densely packed with dark berry fruit with racy red undertones and framed by moderate acidity and Rutherford’s classic dusty tannins, the 2019 GIII is a benchmark wine for their team. 100 cases were produced.
