100% Cabernet Sauvignon, this 2018 made by winemaker Sam Kaplan is outstanding. Like the previous vintage, Sam was able to source Cabernet from the famed Vine Hill Ranch Vineyard in Oakville. In total, this newly released vintage comes from three exceptional grower vineyard sites- Beckstoffer Dr. Crane Vineyard, Beckstoffer Las Piedras Vineyard, Vine Hill Ranch, Weitz Vineyard and Oakville Ranch. This is a great representation of the best potential of these vineyards combined into one bottling. “Deep garnet-purple in color, it charges out of the gate with energetic scents of warm cassis, blackberry pie, boysenberries and wild blueberries plus hints of mocha, black truffles, fertile loam and lavender, with a waft of Chinese five spice.
