The Mascot Red 2010Napa Valley

This project led by Will Harlan of Harlan Estate, BOND and Promontory is a blend of separately vinified barrels from all three properties and is the only wine that is comprised of all three Estates that his father Bill Harlan owns. We just tasted this newly released offering with the Mascot team recently and was impressed with this 2010 vintage. It is the best they have made so far and it reflects the vintage well. Notes of dark red fruit with cedar and graphite fill the glass. The finish is smooth and lingers on the palate. It is comprised of 90% Cabernet Sauvignon with a few percentage points of Petite Verdot, Merlot and Cabernet Franc. It was aged for 28-months in barrel before being aged in the bottle.
