Keplinger 'Oakville Ranch Vineyard' Cabernet Sauvignon 2014Oakville

A mere 96 cases were produced of this stunning wine made by Helen Keplinger. Sourcing entirely from Oakville Ranch Vineyard, this 2014 marks the first vintage of Helen making Cabernet Sauvignon under her own label, Keplinger. Most know of the Keplinger brand for their Rhone-style Reds, but she has been making Cabernet Sauvignon since the 1999 vintage, when she was the assistant winemaker at Paradigm Winery, then the Winemaker for Kenzo Estate, Bryant Family Vineyard and Grace Family Vineyard more recently. This 100% Cabernet Sauvignon is offers deep aromas of dark red fruit with mineral notes and completely integrated tannins. The finish is long and beautiful. This is one of the best debut Cabernet Sauvignons I've tasted this fall.
