Hudson'Ladybug' Chardonnay 2022

This new release from Hudson is one of the best Chardonnays coming out of California today—not only because it comes from an exceptional vineyard block planted specifically for this bottling, but also due to John Kongsgaard’s involvement in Hudson Vineyards’ winemaking from the very beginning. Production is extremely limited, and we’re fortunate to source directly from Lee and Cristina Hudson’s own cellar. Named in honor of Cristina—affectionately known as “Ladybug”—this vineyard sits beneath Milliken Peak on the northeastern edge of the ranch, where warmer days and cooler nights result in slightly later ripening and a more opulent, richly textured style of Chardonnay. The 2022 Ladybug is a standout, with alluring aromas of jasmine, beeswax, and crème brûlée, a full, layered palate, and a long, luxurious finish.
