Frias'Lady of the Dead' Red 2019- Special Priced 3-Pack
This is a great-buy Red every vintage and this newest release is no exception. The 2019 Lady of the Dead has a backbone of Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley supplemented by Syrah, Mourvèdre, and Graciano from premier vineyard sites in Paso Robles. As Manny and Fern Frias will tell you, “The bouquet of this blend raises eyebrows.” The complexity on the nose immediately offers notes of violets and purple flowers, blue and black fruit, and a subtle hint of sweet oak, while deep underneath, there is a nuance of freshly tilled earth. Dark fruit flavors and cassis on the palate are highlighted by top notes of Bing cherry and a touch of savory smoked meat. The flavors and layers of the wine are matched with just the right amount of acidity and polished tannins. The Frias Family Vineyard is located on Spring Mountain and their wines from their estate vineyard are a bit more expensive than this go-to Red but at its price point, you will be hard pressed to find a wine at this caliber that is just downright delicious.
