Fait-Main 'Beckstoffer Las Piedras Vineyard' Cabernet Sauvignon 2017 - Special Priced 3-Pack - K. Laz Wine Collection
Beckstoffer Las Piedras Vineyard is one of the heritage vineyards owned and farmed by the Beckstoffer family and has been planted to vineyard for over 150 years. The Beckstoffers and Fait Main’s vintner/winemaker Benoit Touqette have collaborated over the years to dial in the farming of his portion including the use of shade cloth late in the season. The soft filtered light in the heat of summer helps maintain even ripening, allowing approachability without sacrificing age worthiness in the finished wine. The wines grown from this rocky site are structured and masculine; they are left bank-inspired, but also with classic Beckstoffer Las Piedras dark blue and black fruit tones with underlying notes of crushed rock. "A gorgeously sweet nose of blackcurrants, dried flowers, Asian spice, and loamy earth and chocolate emerges from the 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Las Piedras Vineyard. Deeply concentrated, with a light, elegant texture, beautiful tannins, and a great finish, this stunning wine is already beautiful but will shine for 15 years or more." - Jeb Dunnuck.

Benoit Touquette grew up one of Burgundy's main cities, Lyon, before moving to Bordeaux to attend graduate school. He worked the mobile bottling lines to pay for schooling and it was while doing this that he got to see and feel the infectious passion of the winemakers he met. He quickly switched his focus to oenology and completed two degrees before moving to Napa Valley to intern with renowned winemaker Andy Erickson (formerly of Screaming Eagle, Staglin and now Dalla Valle, Favia and Marciano) before venturing on his own to become winemaker at Realm Cellars and begin his own wine brand, Fait Main and Teeter Totter. Benoit's style of wines that he produces are opulent and bold, with a focus geared towards showing each vineyard's potential.
