Cherry Pie Huckleberry Snodgrass Pinot Noir 2013Russian River Valley

Cherry Pie is another innovative offering from visionary winemaker Jayson Woodbridge, creator of Hundred Acre and Layer Cake Wines. The Huckleberry Snodgrass Vineyard is located in the Russian River Valley AVA just north of Santa Rosa. Just ten miles from the Pacific ocean, cooling ocean fog results in an extended growing season allowing grapes to ripen slowly, and reach full maturity leading to harvest. The 2013 Cherry Pie Huckleberry Snodgrass has beautiful aromas of dried cherry and nutmeg, with soft tannins and a dark red core. It was aged in 30% new French oak and was never racked or filtered, remaining ‘sur lie’ during its entire aging process.
