Since their first vintage in 1992, Vintner Bettina Bryant has been working with David Abreu as their vineyard manager for their 13-acre estate vineyard on Pritchard Hill. Michel Rolland continues to work with them as their consulting oenologist alongside their winemaker KK Carothers. The 2019 vintage marks the 28th year of winemaking at Bryant Estate. For the 2019 vintage, a cold and rainy spring caused substantial vegetative growth in vines; managing vigor took work but proved integral to achieving plant balance. 50% of bud break occurred on April 3rd, and the median harvest date was October 9th. Through a steady summer and fall, fruit developed evenly. Such a growing season produced structured and vibrant wines. This 100% Cabernet Sauvignon was aged in 100% French oak, 80% new French oak for 21 months to create a wine of purity and classic Bryant Family Cabernet. The tannins are refined and the purple and blue fruit frame the structure and vibrancy to create a wine of completeness from the initial aromas in the glass to the final lingering notes on the palate.
