Bryant Estate'DB4' Red 2016 - Special Priced 3-Pack
This 2016 DB4 Red is comprised of 73% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc and 2% Petit Verdot, sourced from three of David Abreu's famed vineyards in Napa Valley- Madrona, Thorevilos and Lucia Howell Mountain. In recent years, winemaker KK Carothers has incoporated some of their estate Pritchard Hill fruit at Bryant Estate. This is a gorgeous, hedonistic Red that fills the glass with dark blue and red fruit and cassis with hints of graphite and cedar notes. The palate is full, rich, opulent and spicy with plush tannins and and seamless finish that lingers on the palate. This is one of the best Reds in its price category and a must-try.
2016 was an exceptional vintage for those on Pritchard Hill, especially Bryant Estate. And despite all the newcomers planting their home base on this special geographic location, they remain one of the best. As it overlooks Lake Hennessey, Bryant’s estate vineyard faces northwest and has about 60% morning sun and 40% afternoon sun with a cooling effect from the western winds. Since their first vintage in 1992, they have been working with David Abreu as their vineyard manager with Michel Rolland as their consulting oenologist. KK Carothers leads their winemaking team and was an intern with Bryant a few years prior. The 2016 Bryant Family Vineyard Cabernet which we’re offering marks the 25th anniversary for Bryant Estate.
