BarbourCabernet Sauvignon 2019- Special Priced 3-Pack

This is a must-try Cabernet from Jim Barbour, made by Celia Welch. While many know of Jim as one of the best viticulturists in Napa Valley, it was his own wine that connected us when I first moved to wine country. Jim cultivated many prominent vineyards in the valley, including Hundred Acre, Grace Family, Checkerboard, Blankiet, Revana, Harbison, Keever, DR Stephens, and his estate vineyard on the western side of St. Helena. The 2019 vintage of Barbour opens with aromas of a classic Cabernet- cassis, cherry, and plum- as well as delicious notes of cinnamon, blackberry, clove, and dark cocoa. The palate is expansive and full, with present but approachable tannins. The silky texture is a “Celia hallmark and truly seductive. The fruit was destemmed and sorted, then fermented on its skins for approximately three weeks prior to a gentle pressing. Aged for 22 months in new French oak, the wine has the density, structure and breadth of palate for aging.” 316 cases were produced.
