Enrico Bertoz, winemaker and vintner of Arbe Garbe, got his start at California's cult winery, Sine Qua Non, as the assistant winemaker before heading up to Napa Valley. This 2018 Russian River Valley White is a delicious, unique Northern Italian style blend of 55% Malvasia, 25% Ribolla Gialla and 20% Tocai Friulano and gained its complexity from a weekly battonage (stirring of the lees) for the first three months followed by once a month for a year. In the glass, it offers notes of honeysuckle and crisp fruit notes with a refreshing finish. Enrico is focused on working solely with grower vineyards that are sustainable and biodynamic so all three vineyards he works with in RRV to source fruit are exactly that. 419 cases were produced.
