Vineyard 7 & 8 Correlation Cabernet Sauvignon 2013Spring Mountain District

When we met with winemaker and vintner Wes Steffans to taste through his current and upcoming releases, we were wowed by this 2013 Cabernet. Not yet released at the time, we were able to start offering this in our tastings and now to you. Comprised of their own Spring Mountain fruit along with some from their neighbor's vineyard next door to them and Beckstoffer Missouri Hopper Vineyard in Oakville, this new release is beautiful with rich fruit and great texture. On the palate, notes of rich dark red and purple fruit and graphite fill the glass with completely integrated tannins and a long finish. 650 cases were produced. Luc Morlet led the charge on this wine and the final blending was done by Vineyard 7 & 8's new winemaker Martha McClellan.
