Perkins-Harter ‘The Weight’ Old Vine Zinfandel 2014
Dry Creek Valley – 750mL

Perkins-Harter ‘The Weight’ Old Vine Zinfandel 2014 Dry Creek Valley - K. Laz Wine Collection

Perkins Harter is a collaboration between winemaker Shelby Perkins and her husband, Peter Harter. After studying and practicing law for several years the couple decided to follow a more peaceful path and so began Perkins Harter. The Zinfandel for this offering was sourced from the Teldeschi vineyard in the Russian River Valley, which was planted in 1889 and the Petite Sirah was sourced from 70 year old vines also planted on the Teldeschi property. Co-fermented with Syrah from the Pasterick Vineyard, this current offering exudes beautiful complexity and depth. This is only the second vintage of ‘The Weight’ which offers notes of fresh berry, slate and textured spice.
