PerUs Ruby Red 2013Napa Valley

PerUs Ruby Red 2013 is the first vintage for this new winery. Russell Bevan is most known for making his own richly focused wines under his Bevan Cellars label but is also known for his efforts at Harbison and Chateau Boswell. Russell is gregarious, larger-than-life and a lot of fun to hang out with but when it comes to winemaking, he is knee-deep in the vineyards and extremely precise with his winemaking process. This 2013 Napa Valley Red is bold, multi-layered and loaded with rich, dark blue and purple fruit. It comes from Sugarloaf Mountain and is mainly comprised of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc. On the palate, it offers a luxurious mouthfeel with completely integrated tannins and a velvety finish. Less than 200 cases were produced of this current offering.
