Pellet Estate Henry’s Reserve Red 2013St. Helena

One of the newer St. Helena offerings we tasted recently was Pellet Estate Vineyard. While the property has been in existence since the 1850s, under the new ownership these new wines are a great addition to the AVA. Henry’s Reserve Red is a blend of 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon and offers notes of blueberry and blackberry with a rich and opulent mouthfeel. Just 30 cases were produced of this current offering and it comes highly recommended by the K. Laz team. Tom Rinaldi - founding winemaker of Duckhorn Vineyards - has done a beautiful job in constructing a well-balanced and elegant red.
