This 2013 Pinot Noir is the best Pinot that vintner/winemaker Katy Wilson has produced since she started this project in 2009. As winemaker for Kamen and in the past for Flowers Winery, Katy is good friends and partners in some projects with Ross Cobb of Cobb Wines. Because of this, Katy has access to the famed Rice-Spivak and Emmaline Ann Vineyards. What this means in the glass is a Sonoma Coast Pinot with verve and concentration but also with elegance and purity. The 2013 reveals notes of “raspberry, cherry and clove. The oak and acid play off of each other on the palate and offer a lasting finish”. I highly recommend if you’re really into Pinot and are looking for a more sophisticated offering. 235 cases were produced.
