This block called The Trail is their vineyard located on the western side of their property, closest to Silverado Trail. “The 2013 The Trail from Oakville, is a 200-case, 100% Cabernet Sauvignon aged in three-fourths Darnajou and 25% Taransaud. This wine displays full-bodied power and an exuberant, intense personality, with plenty of licorice, blackberry and cassis as well as some toasty oak in a multi-layered, full-throttle, pedal-to-the-metal style of Cabernet Sauvignon. The tannins are sweet and the wine accessible, but it probably won’t be at its best for another 5-7 years and last 20 or more.” – Wine Advocate.
