This is one of the best buy, under the radar wineries that have recently garnered some great reviews. We’ve long enjoyed Keith Emerson’s wines for the last 5 years and are really happy that he is now getting the attention he deserves. Having been Philippe Melka’s assistant winemaker, Keith is now full-time winemaker at Vineyard 29 while also continuing to produce his own wine under both the Emerson Brown and Sonria labels.  The III Michael’s Estate comes from Oakville, just south of Skellenger Lane. After Bart & Daphne Araujo sold Eisele Vineyard in 2013, they purchased this incredible vineyard to begin their new winery, Accendo. Fortunately Keith still is able to work with the vineyard for his own wine and in the bottle, this is THE best Oakville Cabernet at its price. Full-bodied, this 200 cases production of 2013 offers Oakville characteristics of blue and dark red fruit with cassis and finely integrated tannins. It’s a plush, focused Cabernet with a long, satisfying finish. 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, this new release garnered 96 Points from Wine Advocate. In the glass, it certainly is a well-deserved review. This is a must-have Cabernet.
