Dana Estates 'ONDA' Cabernet Sauvignon 2014

As we recently tasted tried this new offering from Dana Estates, it is completely in line with their 2014 from an aroma and fruit profile. That makes sense as it is coming from their single vineyards- Crystal Springs Vineyard, Helms Vineyard in Rutherford, Lotus Vineyard below Howell Mountain and Hershey Vineyard on Howell Mountain, Onda is characterized by wonderful fruit purity, elegance and precision. It drinks beautifully upon release but will age gracefully for 10-15 years with appropriate storage. Unlike several second wines or cuvees of single vineyard offerings, ONDA is always intentionally made as a separate offering. This newly released 2014 offers "loads of blueberry and blackberry fruit with a hint of creosote, wood spice and camphor are offered in this deep, medium to full-bodied, layered and voluptuously textured wine. It is pure, sexy and ideal for drinking over the next 15+ years." 1161 cases were produced.
