This is a truly refreshing, seamless Sauvignon Blanc. Coming from their estate vineyard on Mount Veeder at 1600 feet in elevation, immediate aromas of citrus and honeysuckle lead onto the palate with secondary notes of minerality, depth and balanced acidity. There’s complexity to this wine as well as a crowd-pleaser taste. Winemaker Frederick Ammons and his team produced this wine in 38% neutral French oak, 32% concrete, and the remainder in Amphora, new French oak and Stainless Steel. Like last vintage, that means a vibrant, multi-faceted White that can be enjoyed now or even with a few years of age.

The Crossroads wines are created to be a taste of Rudd wines at a more accessible price without sacrificing the same attention to detail and drive to improve practices, farming, and winemaking year over year that is consistent with Rudd Estate. Crossroads is estate grown, coming from the same vineyards and crafted by the same winemaking team as Rudd Estate, making it a reflection of the place and the people of Rudd Estate. Despite the pedigree of an Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon and Mt. Veeder Sauvignon Blanc, Crossroads is priced accessibly and is meant to be enjoyed upon release. I would highly recommend trying some as I think you will love them as much as I did when we recently tasted them. Last year we sold out of these wines within a month upon release due to their high demand and quality.
