Apsara Cabernet Sauvignon 2014

 This 2014 release comes from both St. Helena and Calistoga. In the glass, “expressive aromatics of licorice, tobacco leaf and crushed red cherries lead into a sumptuous cascade of cassis, dark fruits and fragrant Darjeeling tea surrounded by nuanced notes of cleansing white sage, cigar box and crushed clove. This wine has an elegant yet powerful body with beautifully balanced acidity and rich, enduring tannins.” This is an incredible Cabernet at this price point, perhaps one of the best we’ve tasted so far this year. 100 cases were produced.
